Taylor McCoy
is a jazz singer from Manchester, CT. Her musical influence began with her mother playing various R&B artists including Mary J. Blige, Luther Vandross, Teena Marie, Chrisette Michele, and Toni Braxton. In highschool, Taylor decided she would allow music, and all it encompasses, to be her way of life. After an audition to sing with her high school's jazz big band, her love of jazz began to blossom. Taylor went on to study privately with jazz singer, Atla DeChamplain, who introduced her to jazz vocalists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Kurt Elling, and Jon Hendricks.
